4 Niece's, 2 Nephew's *Christmas Series*

We are continued...

This was, for me, a much harder collection of ideas to put together.  Why are girls so much easier!  They have more clothes, more options for toys, more options in GENERAL.  Then you get to the boys, and the older they get, the less that satisfies them.  All around kids, boys, men...husbands.  All the same.  I pulled through though, kept scouring the net for ideas, and here is what I came up with!

Seriously, seriously, hope you are able to solve this gift buying ordeal for boys, seriously.

#1. Destiny 2 - Video Game - ANY video game really
#2 Loot Crate
#3 Watch
#4 Nike Duffle Bag
#5 Nautica Voyage Cologne
#6 iHome Color Changing Dual Alarm FM Clock

Lets all make sure that we remember, boys are freaking hard to shop for.
I haven't met a boy that has yet to say they do not care for video games.  This is your key, your 100% access to a great gift.  Do your research though, some games may not be appropriate for that boy in your life.  Check ratings too, don't just look at cool covers, they tend to get you buying a lame game.  Then you have Loot Crate which is a monthly subscription to a box of epic things that the company picks out.  You don't know what they are going to receive, but the best part of this is they get to open it and receive trending items that maybe you wouldn't be able to think of.  You can also, only purchase one month.  Huge benefit.

#1 Roblox - iPad - Android - PC - Apple
#2 The Gameknight999 Box Set
#3 Nintendo 2DS
#4 Bushnell PermaFocus 17 1043 10x42 Binoculars $39.79 Almost 5 star review, sold at Home Depot
#5 Laser Pegs Spider 6-in-1 Building Set
#6 Snack Crate

ROBLOX.  If you have an iPad, or even just a computer.  *did I say, JUST a computer, sigh* As I reminisce of a time where if you JUST had the computer, man, you had something special.  Anyways, this is a very popular game amongst this age, and even younger.  Boys and girls enjoy it like crazy.  It's all over YouTube with game plays and reviews.  It's a MMO style game?  I think that's correct to say, with different "games" you can play with in.  Best thing, it's free.  To make it even better though, get them some RoBux to start out with.  Another Crate is on the list, except for this one is Snack Crate.  Receive different snacks from around the WORLD.  How cool is that?  Perfect gift for that gaming garbage disposal boy you know, or have!

So, there you have it, my round up of gifts for these ages, and roundabout of these ages.  I will, once again be referring to this for my own gift picking when the time comes for me to cry a river and spend, spend, and spend.

Eventually I will get around to my two boys, which, is going to be considerably harder.  My 2 year old, not picky at all, he'll love just about everything I get him.  Hell, he would probably dig me just getting him a Snack Crate too.  He wouldn't understand or appreciate that it's delivered to you, but he is an snack eating machine.  As for my 6 year old, Gooby, he is on picky mother-.  You get what I mean.  He always has been too, was never one for toy play, he is a GEEK.  Straight up electronic NERD gear lover.  If you have one like this too, you know it is both expensive and you have to make your decisions VERY carefully.  You also read reviews on certain purchases as if you were counting calories.  Making sure to not miss a thing, and that it will be a smart purchase that won't bite you in the ass later as a waste of money.

I hope this helps, and may the Christmas series continue!

4 Niece's, 2 Nephew's *Christmas Series*

The plans.  Most of us have them, nieces, daughters, friends kids, someone you have to shop for that is a girl.  Here I have compiled my list, my to do list, my hack.  My hopefuls, my...cheat list, making it easy for me to check something off that I am going to get my 4 nieces!  I seriously hope this helps you, if it doesn't, it was so much fun to make!  Here we goo!

#1 Peppa Pig Peppa's School Playset
#2 Lori Horse - Spotted Gray Appaloosa - Target
#3 LEGO DUPLO Disney Junior Sofia The First Magical Carriage
#4 Li'l Woodzeez Medium Playset - Bakery - Target
#5 Peppa Pig Magnetic Wood Dress Up Box

These are some ideas that I have for Ally & Milah, number 4 does come with very small pieces which not ALL 3 year olds may be okay with.  Ally is not one to put things in her mouth, and has already been playing with small toys. At the same time, I do not think I would choose this for Milah, as I do not know how well she does with small pieces.  As always, do your research!  The worse that is going to happen to that specific toy, TONS of lost pieces.  I really want to get some for Gooby as well, the Li'l Woodzeez line from Target is amazing to me.  Such a great alternative if you do not want to spend as much as Calico Critters cost.  With the same disadvantage to losing a ton of small pieces.

#1 Our Generation Deluxe Doll - Shannon - Target
#2 Our Generation Polka Dot Camping Set - Target
#3 The Ramona Collection Vol. 1 *4 Book Set*
#4 Mr Sketch Scented Markers
#5 Lush Bath Bombs
#6 Soda Can Flavored Lip Balms - Set of 5

When brainstorming this list, it was very hard to maintain a 6 item collection of ideas.  I could seriously keep going.  Especially since I don't have girls, and the older they get, to me, they become so much more enjoyable to shop for.  I have planned on getting her an "American Girl Doll" knock off for quite sometime. Yet, she is NOT, by no means responsible enough with her toys, let alone dolls, for me to dump money into an official AG doll.  So this line, specifically at Target has been, in my eyes, the best dupe.  The prices are great, and they have tons of accessories and play sets.  Everything you would honestly want for an entry level doll set.  I picked out the doll Shannon, which most looks like my niece Aubrey.  Of course, they have a ton of different looking girls, if you too would choose to get a mini look alike.  Being 7, you're more able to read chapter books.  I am a HUGE believer in kids needing to read, and actually enjoy it.  I know Ramona is a fun read, and will motivate her to keep going, and finding other reads that she would also enjoy.  Get off that iPad and read a book!  Man...if I had an iPad growing up, I am pretty sure I would have missed tons of fond memories of things all 90's kids hold dearly.
We all know 90's kids go hard with the nostalgia.

#1 Galaxy Mini Locker - Justice
#2 Sport Duffle - PINK - Color : Palm Print
#3 Bed Head Rock N' Roller Curling Wand
#4 Celestial String Lights - Justice
#5 Holographic Tech Wallet - Claire's
#6 Funky Tie Die Earphones - Claire's

So, obviously, I too would want the duffle bag.  If your 11 year old is in a sport this will be great for her!  My initial thought, when I was thinking of what to get Kyleigh was that this is around the age where you tend to always want to go to a friends house to sleep over.  This should fulfill all her needs in what she wants to take.  Considering girls can seriously fill that up, go to a friends house for a night, and probably STILL forget something.  Everyone, not just girls, need a pair of ear buds when you live with 5 other people.  Peace people, peace.  The locker, reminded me and my husband of something that we used to have as kids.  You were always on the look for something to stash things in from siblings.

So these are my ideas!  I am sure, if you need to find a gift for a girl, you can choose anyone of these close to the age range that I have them in.  I really hope this helps someone else, I definitely wanted to do this post for myself as well.  Trying to plan early this year since the clan of nieces and nephews is growing, growing fast.  With them, and two boys of my own, starting early is mandatory and picking little things up here and there when I can so it's not such a huge hit during the holidays.

Plan ahead dearies, you won't regret it!

Coming soon, a collection of my ideas for my nephews!
As well as afghan hell, I mean...
Some cool afghans I am trying to also add into the gifts!

Trying.

First Post!

So, I am starting a blog, well I think I am starting a blog.  Here you will hopefully be able to find Pinterest adventures, lifestyle posts, crafts, and lots of pictures of my two boys.   Not quite sure how far this blog will go, or if it will even reach anyone.  I hope I can expand my audience at some point in the future, or soon, who knows!  Documenting my family is something I hope to really keep up with, I have thousands of pictures just floating on hard drives or on flickr.  Time to put some words to them, and share!  I have mass amounts of favorites!

Out of no where Yoshi has come down with a 102 fever.  He seems to be doing well, every now and then letting out a whimper.  We decided to throw him in the tub, and as we were on our way to the tub, luckily, he puked on the bathroom rug.  Honestly, in my mind, I was like WIN!  Out of all the times I have had one of my children puke, it has always been on the carpet.  Do you know how hard it is to get the puke smell out of a certain room?!  Of course you do, especially when they are young and tend to drink a gallon of milk a day.  *complete exaggeration*, and yet not.  So, all of that milk sitting, boiling, curdling, just waiting to be battled with carpet cleaner and winning.  Now as for the rug, that I can just rinse off in the sink and toss in the washer.  No signs of the evil vomit tonight!

For now...

This really reminds me of when Gooby was younger.  He is 6 now, but his younger years were plagued with fevers.  I felt like we were always battling a number on a thermometer.  Then, as soon as he started to go to preschool, we were plagued with more fevers, and even more things we were not prepared for!  Such as pink eye, that wasn't horrible, but no fun for the little guy.  He looked miserable, insert miserable picture of Gooby that he will regret having, or love.  Who knows, he is a boy.

Well, it is not as bad as I remember actually.  Took me quite some time to find this picture, since I only have it saved in my google photos.  I still need to take the time to download every single photo in my google photos, which will probably take me...forever, and then to organize.  Doomed.  Currently though, I am working on 1 of 4 afghans for Christmas presents.  I have 3 nieces, and one, I am not sure what you would refer her as.  Future niece through marriage?  She is the oldest, being 11, or 12, you know I am not even 100% sure how old she is.  My sister in-law and her father have only been dating for a few months.  Yet, they are going to buy a house very soon, they are currently trying to see which one to put an offer in on.  Then eventually when the time is right, and things have settled, they will get married.  So of course I have to plan for one more girl to do something nice for.  4 girls, 1 nephew.  If anyone has anymore kids...Christmas is getting more and more expensive.  Hence, starting in August!  More on that tomorrow though!
